Once again the thoughtful and generous nature of our community has come to my attention and one of our wonderful parents has asked if she could provide a food hamper to any of our families who would welcome the help.
COVID and the lockdown situation has hit some families more than others, and she wanted to give something back to the community. Because we cannot release the names of those families who we are aware of, that may benefit from a food parcel, we thought it might be a nice idea to make it school wide. Therefore, I am appealing to all families who are able to do so, to donate non-perishable foods, which school can make up into food bags for Christmas.
Can I please ask that all donations will be collected in the week beginning 7th December and bagged up and handed out to families, discretely, in the week beginning 14th December? Tinned foods, Christmas foods and anything that will last over the Christmas period will be gratefully received. Unfortunately, we cannot provide a bag for all families, but those that do, will have been carefully and thoughtfully chosen. Please send all donations through your child’s class teacher.
