Home Learning 22nd & 23rd October

Good morning Year 6,

I hope you are feeling well and are ready for a bit of brain growing today!

Thursday 22nd

Maths –
For Maths, I would like you to continue with learning how to multiply 4 digit x 2 digit numbers together, you should have all looked at this in class so it shouldn’t be anything new.
There is a video to watch for support by clicking this link – https://vimeo.com/458926418

There is then a worksheet for you to fill in
My group – You are only expected to complete up to question number 4, you may do more if you wish but you do not have to.
Mr Francis’ and Mr Morton’s groups, you are expected to complete the sheet as much as you can.

Topic –
To finish our off Roman topic, I would like to create a Roman shield using the resources you have available at home – be as creative as you like! You should all have already designed your Roman shield at school and should have an idea of what you want it to look like.

Friday 23rd

Maths –
Today you will be participating in a TTRS battle against Mr Francis’ class! The competition will run from 9am until 3pm. Remember, this is a class effort and I expect everyone who has access to TTRS to participate. If anyone needs their log in, contact me via Dojo and I will be able to provide this for you. I will be awarding Dojo points to every child who participates, 5 Dojos to the second top scorer in each class and 10 Dojo to the child who has the highest score in each class by 3pm! May the best class win!

Topic –
Once you have created your Roman Shield, you will need to evaluate your finished product using the sheet below.

You only need to complete Q10 as you has already completed the other questions at school.

If you have any questions or need help with anything, please contact me via Dojo and I will respond as promptly as I can.
Then get ready to enjoy a well-deserved break over half term!

Miss McMaster
